What we know!

There are clear reasons why Honda has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report, and it starts with the unparalleled success of the award-winning 11th generation Civic. Considered the gateway to the Honda brand and one of the country’s most popular vehicles among Gen Z and first-time buyers a well as multicultural customers, it is no doubt this vehicle has been a top seller for decades — since 1973 to be exact.

In addition, Honda is noted for its electrification strategy, with hybrid-electric variants for both the Civic hybrid and the Accord hybrid. In addition, hybrid-electric trims powered by the award-winning fourth-gen of the Honda two-motor hybrid-electric powertrain now represent more than a whopping half of Accord sales. And, with the Civic hybrid models in the 2025 model year, it is expected that those will represent nearly half, or 40 percent, of Civic sales. In all, more than 25 percent of total Honda brand sales are hybrid-electric vehicles.

Honda was chosen among 38 brands, with U.S. News’ prestigious Best Vehicle Brand Awards noting the automaker’s excellence that spans industry-wide and centers on four key segments of the automotive market. Those include cars, SUVs, trucks and luxury vehicles. Honda has what excites buyers and attracts them, and this award is reflective of that. In cinching this designation, Honda has demonstrated a combination of performance, interior quality, safety and reliability in these categories.

In determining the winners, U.S. News Best Cars took an average of the overall score of all the given brand’s products in each award class. Such factors as safety ratings and reliability data were considered, as well as thee consensus opinion of the automotive press. The brand with the highest average score, then, was named the winner in that particular category.

Producing automobiles in America for more than 40 years, Honda currently operates 18 major manufacturing facilities in North America. Last year, more than 99 percent of all Honda vehicles sold in the U.S. were built in North America, with about two-thirds made in America using domestic and globally sourced parts.

Through more than 1,000 dealers, Honda presents what is considered a true award-winning, top lineup, including such household names as the Civic and Accord, along with the HR-V, CR-V, Passport, Prologue and Pilot sport utility vehicles, as well as the Ridgeline pickup and the Odyssey minivan.
