2020 Honda CR-V – Leader of the pack
July 10 2020 - Jay Honda

There are clear reasons why the Honda CR-V has been one of the brand’s perennial top seller for years — and the leader of the pack! For 2020 it embodies sportiness, practicality and refinement with passenger and cargo volume that trumps its rivals. This vehicle offers both a well-balanced ride and capable powertrain as well as an innovative redesign that is fresh and bold. The 2020 Honda CR-V is rugged, sophisticated and presents pure driving bliss! See what a dynamic driving experience is all about! Your choice got even more compelling!

Here’s more!

Interior view
Exceptional interior storage marks one of the many pluses of this 2020 model, with a solid amount of passenger room across its two rows of seating. A new look provides for a more aggressive character and pure comfort and style is brought forth in such ways as a redesigned center console that now offers more storage space. A cabin features a leather-trimmed interior including seating, steering wheel and shift knobs, making for a truly premium look and feel. There is also Driver Information Interface, which allows drivers to view audio settings and turn-by-turn directions, while including a driver attention monitor that notifies you when it detects a drowsy driving behavior. Other interior amenities include heated front seats to keep both driver and passengers toasty warm in cooler temps as well as power adjustable seating that provides an impressive selection of 12 different ways to get cozy as well as a four-way power adjustable lumbar support and memory function. Passengers can feel at ease with their own four-way power adjustable seat as well. There is also in the 2020 model a wireless phone charger, allowing you to conveniently place your compatible smart phone on the wireless charger tray, and an LED indicator will display that it is charging. USB charging ports round out the amenities, allowing occupants to charge their compatible digital devices with front USB connectivity while rear passengers enjoy the available USB charging ports in back.

Exterior design
The Honda CR-V for 2020 takes what has already been a great style to even more impressive heights. A sporty exterior is made clear with sculpted lines and available 19-inch alloy wheels. A sleek front end gives this vehicle both boldness and a sporty look combined. LED fog lights come standard and a profile of sculpted wheel arches, eye-catching chrome accents and a super stylish rear spoiler evokes complete and utter confidence. This dynamic design continues in the rear with smoked-out LED taillights and a sleek rear spoiler that are true eye catchers. Dual chrome exhaust finishers add to this vehicle’s wide stance, making a strong statement at all times.

Power personified
Exciting for 2020 is that Honda is offering a hybrid powertrain, which includes a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors; the base 2.4-liter four-cylinder has been dropped and the previously optional turbocharged 1.5-liter engine is now standard on all non-hybrid CR-Vs. The 2020 Honda CR-V hybrid uses the same two-motor system as the Accord Hybrid, which gets a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle engine that produces an impressive 143 hp and 129 lb-ft of torque. An electric motor produces 181 hp and 232 lb-ft which translates into a 212 combined horsepower, making it 22-hp more powerful than the gas version. Power is sent to all four wheels by way of an e-CVT transmission. This CR-V embodies both an ultra-responsive acceleration and impressive efficiency. Drivers can keep an eye on the powertrain through either the Driver Information Interface or the Display Audio touch-screen, to see whether the engine, the electric motor or both are supplying power or recharging the high-voltage battery. Drivers take complete control of the road with ECON, Sport and EV mode. The ECON is designed to help improve fuel efficiency, always a goal, and Sport mode aids in increasing engine performance. Lastly, the EV mode allows drivers to operate exclusively on the electric motor, but under certain conditions.

Standard on the hybrid is all-wheel-drive, which is perfect for that tough road ahead and rough weather conditions.

Tech perks
You will feel the capability and connectivity of this 2020 CR-V the minute you step inside. Technology comes in the form of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, allowing you to plug in your compatible iPhone or Android for such things as directions or to send or receive messages and access your music library. This is all done through the Display Audio touch-screen which is rooted in convenience. Drivers also have the ability to seamlessly and effortlessly connect their compatible smartphone via the front USB port, making it a breeze to listen to their favorite music, make and receive phone calls and much, much more! Techological advancements don’t stop there! HondaLink is also offered, which allows drivers to connect their compatible mobile device with HondaLink, which provides easy access to receive vehicle notifications as well as to schedule your necessary service appointments.

Technology also comes in the form of great sound through the Premium Auto System, which consists of a powerful 330-watt, 9-speaker premium audio system with subwoofer. The result is crisp, high-quality sound making each of your road trips an ultimate pleasure.

Lastly the Digital Audio Touch-Screen allows you to simply touch, pinch or swipe your way through your favorite music, podcasts, navigation and more. This is all courtesy of an awesome 7-inch display screen.

Leader in safety
When it comes to safety and driver-assistance features, the 2020 Honda CR-V is as good as it gets! In fact, it has received the best crash-test ratings possible. The National Highway Traffic-Safety Administration gave it five stars and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named it the Top Safety Pick for 2019. With this refreshed model, Honda is confident it should qualify for IIHS’s Top Safety Pick award for this year, although the testing is not yet complete. The CR-V comes standard with an entire suite of driver-assistance features to help prevent collisions. Key safety features include Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, Standard lane-keeping assist with lane-departure warning and Standard adaptive cruise control.

Experience a vehicle that not only epitomizes practicality and refinement, but is truly the leader of the pack and the brand’s perennial best seller. This midsize sport SUV has all drivers need in the area of comfort, style and reliability. Rugged design and modern sophistication is found here! Take a test drive today!
